Student's Brain Injury Lawsuit | | A lawsuit against Lafayette College in Pennsylvania over a student's brain injury has been tossed out by a Lehigh County judge. The lawsuit was filed by the family of a student who was struck by a habitual drunken driver while walking in between her car and crew practice. The team's parking arrangements had been changed by the school, forcing team members to walk on a dangerous path where another individual had been struck and killed just months earlier, the lawsuit contends. The girl was incapacitated during the incident and her parents filed the lawsuit on her behalf. The judge in the case ruled that the school could not be held responsible for the accident which took place off campus.
