The lawsuit was filed by the family of a 45-year-old Iraq veteran who was killed during the crash. The crash took place when the helicopter was flying too close to the ground and caught a slope. A cameraman and the pilot were also killed in the crash. The settlement was approved by a Los Angeles County Superior Court judge on Tuesday, but the terms of the settlement are confidential.
