The lawsuit contends that Chipotle is guilty of false advertising after claiming in April that it was the first national restaurant company to use only ingredients that are GMO-free. The lawsuit was filed in federal court in San Francisco and alleges that the restaurant chain violated the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act with its advertising on food labels. The whistleblower lawsuit was filed in U.S. District Court in Kansas City by a former emergency room nurse at the hospital. The lawsuit alleges that patient data was falsified so that the facility would receive more money from Medicare and Medicaid. Judge Approves Class Action Lawsuit Over Water Rates | | A chief judge for the 7th Circuit Court of Michigan has approved a class action lawsuit against the city of Flint over water rates that were allegedly raised illegally. Genesee Circuit Judge Archie Hayman approved the class action status on Monday, stating that the city's "water and sewer customers since September 2011 have all been subject to a water readiness-to-serve charge that was improper and an illegal 35 percent increase in water and sewer rates."
