Testimony began this morning at 8:30 in 30th District Court and according to Brad Altman with Atlman Legal Group, the case was resolved right after opening statements. The settlement amount is confidential but Altman says the hotel is expected to open up once again. The Grand Hotel was seeking $2.4 million dollars from Travelers Insurance Company after they say the company improperly estimated the amount hail damage from storms back in 2012. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration confirmed the woman's death on Thursday, the woman died Sept. 30 in Riverside County, Calif., near Los Angeles. Honda confirmed the woman's death and said she was driving a 2001 Civic. The lawsuit was filed by the mother of a Bogan High School football player who died from a blunt force trauma injury sustained during a game in October 2015. According to the complaint, filed in Cook County circuit court, an air bladder inside the Riddell brand helmet intended to increase protection was not properly inflated, leading to the athlete's death.
