Family of a woman who had pictures of her, covered in what appeared to be feces, posted to social media by a now fired and arrested nurseâ??s aide in March are seeking more than a million dollars in compensation from the nursing home she was staying in. Attorneys for the plaintiffs are now saying Windsor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Duval â??did not careâ?? that Carlos Alberto Santacruz â??was and is a despicable human beingâ?? and let him work with the woman, failing to supervise him.

18 Students Charged in College Student's Death
spacer image
Eighteen students from Penn State have been charged with a number of crimes relating to the death of a fellow fraternity member. The crimes are related to the death of a 19-year-old fraternity member who died after attending a party where he reportedly fell down a flight of stairs after a night of drinking. The crimes range in severity, from tampering with evidence to multiple counts of involuntary manslaughter. The lawsuits claim that the fellow fraternity members failed to notify authorities after the young man fell, and that as a result he was not given medical attention within an appropriate time leading to his death.
