Lawsuit by Gay Couple in Kentucky Against Kim Davis Allowed to Proceed |
A ruling by three judges on the 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals yesterday has revived a lawsuit filed by a gay couple in Kentucky who had their marriage license denied by Rowan County clerk Kim Davis. Tomi Lahren Settles Lawsuit Against The Blaze and Glenn Beck |
Conservative television host Tomi Lahren has settled her wrongful termination lawsuit against former employer Glenn Beck and his media network, The Blaze. The 24-year-old TV personality claimed that she was fired from her job, in part, because she made pro-choice comments while a guest on ABC's "The View." Lahren was countersued by Beck who claimed she "had a long track record of insubordination." The settlement releases her from her contract with The Blaze and allows her to continue her social media accounts that were started under the network, but other details of the settlement have not been disclosed. HoMedics Massagers Recalled For Shock, Burn Hazards |
Nearly 400,000 hand-held massagers manufactured by HoMedics are under recall because of electric shock and burn hazards. The company has received 15 reports of burn injuries and "about 140 incidents of the cord near the base of the product breaking, exposing wires and causing sparks, smoke and shooting flames." Three models of massagers are affected by this recall and they were sold nationwide at Bed Bath & Beyond, Macy's, Rite-Aid, Walmart and on the Home Shopping Network between August 2013 and February 2017.
