California Sues Johnson & Johnson Over Pelvic Mesh Devices |
The state of California has filed suit against Johnson & Johnson over inaccurate marketing for pelvic mesh devices, which have proven to cause complications in patients. The lawsuit was filed by the state attorney general on Tuesday and alleges that Johnson & Johnson falsely marketed the products as a safe alternative to non-mesh treatments for pelvic floor disorders. The state of California contends that Johnson & Johnson was aware that the devices could cause pain, bleeding, loss of sexual function and other side effects. Jessica Dye, Reuters 05/24/2016 |
