Sign the petition NOW - Tell TDI No!
ALERT: Please take a minute to sign this petition from our friends at Texas Watch urging TDI to reject the insurance industry's attempt to buy the rights of Texas homeowners. The rights of homeowners are under attack. At least one Texas insurance company is actively negotiating with the state insurance commissioner over new language that would subject homeowners to pre-dispute binding arbitration when the company low, slow, or no pays valid insurance claims. A decision on this key issue is imminent. Click on the headline to sign the petition. ________________________________________

A 26-year legal battle initiated by individuals who lived downwind of a nuclear weapons plant in Rocky Flats, Colorado, has reached a $375 million settlement. The lawsuit was filed by residents who alleged that the operators of the plant devalued their properties due to plutonium releases from the plant. The action was filed by about 15,000 residents back in 1990. The lawsuit was described in court papers on Wednesday as "quite possibly the largest docket of any District of Colorado case to date."

A jury ruled on Thursday that a Cinemark movie theater chain is not liable in a mass shooting that took place back in 2012. The lawsuit was filed by more than two dozen surviving victims of the shooting and relatives of the dead. The jurors ruled in favor of Cinemark USA Inc, which had been accused in the lawsuit of holding responsibility for the attack. The shooter was found guilty last summer of killing 12 people and wounding 70 in the shooting.
