The defendants were Dedham Medical Associates, where Larkin sought treatment for dizziness in 2004; and Dr. Jehane Johnston, a physician who examined Larkin. In a lawsuit filed this week in the 4th Judicial Circuit Court in Duval County, Fla., four plaintiffs accuse Dr. Howard Schneider of assault, battery, false imprisonment and intentionally inflicting "severe emotional distress" spanning decades from his office. The lawsuit filed Wednesday follows days of protests outside Schneider's office and a wave of complaints from parents alleging he physically abused their children, botched their dental work, and stonewalled parents and investigators when his methods were questioned. The family claimed the hospital mistakenly operated on her brain in January 2012 when she just needed a simple procedure on her jaw. Faces Lawsuit Over Use of Beach Revenues | | Another lawsuit has been filed against the borough of Belmar, New Jersey over plans for its beaches. On Monday, the borough was served with the lawsuit which alleges that the mayor and the Borough Council "have unlawfully charged the Beach Utility Fund expenses that are unrelated to the beach, in order to benefit the borough and its tax payers." One of the lawsuit's main complaints is that the borough has used beach-generated revenue to pay non-beach related expenses.
