The lawsuit was filed by the 9-year-old son of the farm worker who was allegedly exposed to the harmful chemicals at her job. Filed in Ventura County Superior Court, the lawsuit alleges that the plaintiff suffered injury because he was exposed, through his mother, to hazardous pesticides during crucial periods of fetal growth. The lawsuit names as defendants several agricultural firms, including Well-Pict Berries, Soilfume Inc., Well-Pict's owner T.T. Miyasaka Inc. and Ramco Enterprises. The former teacher at Medlin Middle School filed a lawsuit in federal court on Friday alleging that she lost her job after refusing to work in the classroom which caused her to suffer a number of health issues. The former sixth- and seventh-grade social studies teacher alleges in her lawsuit that the water-damaged, moldy classroom caused her to suffer from short-term memory loss, confusion, headaches, nausea, and near liver failure. The Pawnee Nation alleges in its lawsuit filed Friday that wastewater injected into wells operated by the defendants caused the 5.8-magnitude quake in September. The tribe is seeking compensation for damage to public and personal property and market value losses, as well as punitive damages. Staff, Insurance Journal 03/06/2017 | Read Article: Insurance Journal | Fiat Chrysler Facing Class Action Age Discrimination Lawsuit | | Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is facing a class action age discrimination lawsuit which alleges that the company mistreats older employees and offers them lower pay than younger employees. The complaint, filed on Feb. 27 in U.S. District Court, states that the company's upper-level managers, who have little regular contact with the employees, use photos of the employees during reviews. The lawsuit alleges that this allows management to give poor reviews to older employees and pay them lower salaries, even when the employees have excellent reviews from immediate supervisors. Fiat Chrysler stated on Thursday that it had not yet been served with the lawsuit. This is the second class action discrimination lawsuit filed against the company in the last two months. The 82-year-old woman was attacked by a dementia patient when she accidentally wandered into his room at the Emerald South Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. The woman died at the Erie County Medical Center three days after the attack, in which she suffered a broken neck, several broken ribs, a broken nose, facial fractures and a collapsed lung.
