The lawsuit, filed in federal court in Asheville on Tuesday, contends that the young man decided to jump from a ski lift he was stranded on shortly before rescuers made it to him. According to the complaint, ski resort employees â??were dismissiveâ?? when the youthâ??s mother reported the boy missing. The boy suffered frostbite and a number of broken bones in the incident.
