The parents of the Georgia teen filed two lawsuits alleging that the boy was murdered by the son of an FBI agent and that law enforcement conspired to cover up the incident. After the boy's body was discovered at Lowndes High in Valdosta in January 2013, officials determined that he died after becoming stuck in the mat while reaching for a pair of sneakers. Both of the lawsuits were recently withdrawn, however, the attorney for the plaintiffs stated that dropping the lawsuits was strategic and that the matter would be revisited.
