Additionally, the lawsuit alleges that the plaintiff was discriminated against because of her sex. The complaint states that less-qualified male employees were promoted in place of the plaintiff and she was retaliated against when she raised concerns about the issue. The plaintiff also alleges in her lawsuit that she faced "unwelcome and pervasive harassment by men on the factory floor including but not limited to inappropriate language, whistling, and catcalls." The lawsuit was filed by a former African-American executive who says he was wrongfully terminated from the company. Lowe's has responded to the lawsuit by calling the allegations "unfounded and irresponsible." The lawsuit, filed last week, seeks $12.5 million in severance and other benefits, lost earnings, as well as "damages for humiliation and emotional harm." Some patients died of overdoses at the hands of nurses, according to the indictment, which was unsealed Tuesday and includes charges of health-care fraud and conspiracy to commit health-care fraud. Those charged include Bradley J. Harris, 35, of Frisco, who owned and operated Novus Health Services and Optim Health Services Inc., and his wife, 42-year-old Amy Harris, who co-founded Novus and worked as vice president of patient services. Her parents are suing the practice, the dentist, the anesthesiologist and the company he works for, Texas Anesthesiology Association. The cause of death of Daisy Lynn Torres, who died on March 29, 2016, was determined to be the result of anesthesia administered for the treatment of tooth decay, according to the Medical Examinerâ??s Office. Researchers focused on what's known as overlapping surgery, when a senior surgeon performs critical components of one operation at the same that a trainee surgeon or physician assistant handles a non-critical portion of another procedure. For example, it might mean the assistant closes up an incision on one patient while a senior surgeon begins an operation on another patient. Hundreds of people have joined a lawsuit alleging that the company's top executives and leaders allowed a corporate culture that fostered rampant sexual harassment and discrimination. About 250 women and men have stated that throughout the 1990s and 2000s, women were "routinely groped, demeaned and urged to sexually cater to their bosses to stay employed." Further, the complaint alleges that male employees at the company "pushed female subordinates into sex by pledging better jobs, higher pay or protection from punishment."
