Johnson & Johnson to Pay $158 Million to Texas |
| Pharmaceutical company Johnson & Johnson has agreed to pay $158 million to the state of Texas on claims that the company over-charged Medicaid and illegally promoted the antipsychotic drug Risperdal. The company allegedly over-hyped the benefits of the drug and downplayed its risks. The settlement was the largest Medicaid fraud settlement in state history. Disney Hit with Sexual Assault Lawsuit |
| A sexual-assault lawsuit has been filed against the Walt Disney Company by a woman who attended a taping of the children's show "Good Luck Charlie." The plaintiff claims that at the taping she was "spanked against her will and kissed inappropriately" by the crowd entertainer. According to the suit, the plaintiff was chosen to participate in a song and dance by the entertainer, and was assaulted while up on stage. The suit is seeking unspecified damages. Lawsuit Filed over 2009 Death of Bengals' Chris Henry |
| The 2009 death of Bengals' wide receiver Chris Henry has prompted a wrongful death lawsuit against his former fiancee. Henry was killed when he was thrown from the bed of a truck, striking his head on the pavement. The lawsuit claims the defendant was driving negligently when the accident occurred. Representatives for Henry's estate said the goal of the suit is not take money from the woman and her children, but to collect from the auto insurance companies. Forever 21 Hit with Class-Action Wages Lawsuit |
| A group of employees of clothing store Forever 21 has filed a class-action lawsuit against the store, claiming the company did not pay employees properly. The lawsuit claims employees were forced to work on their lunch break and kept after they clocked out, but were not paid for the time.
