The crash that took place on April 24, 2014 led to the "severe and permanent" injuries to the five children, the lawsuit alleges. Trial for the case, Taing et al. v. Orange Unified School District, is set to begin Tuesday morning in Santa Ana. The driver of the bus that crashed is also facing separate criminal charges in the case and may be facing up to 19 years in prison. The plaintiff filed suit against AirMaxx Trampoline Park in St. Cloud, Minnesota after he was paralyzed when he jumped into a foam pit at the facility. Attorneys for the plaintiff say that the defendant agreed to pay $3 million to the plaintiff to end the lawsuit. During the incident in August 2015, the plaintiff suffered a broken neck and a severe spinal injury, causing him to become paralyzed. David Unze, St. Cloud Times 01/13/2017 | Read Article: St. Cloud Times | Virginia Family Files Suit Over Boy's Sexual Abuse by School Janitor | | The family of a boy who was sexually abused by a school janitor has filed a lawsuit against the boy's school alleging that it was responsible. The lawsuit was filed against Lebanon Elementary School in Virginia in federal court alleges that the school did not do enough to prevent the boy from being victimize or recognize the signs that he was being abused. The boy was abused by the janitor in a custodial closet at school and then further when the boy's family allowed him to move in with the janitor. The school employee pleaded guilty in 2014 to 150 counts of aggravated sexual battery, forcible sodomy and carnal knowledge in connection with his abuse of four boys.
