Mexico Lawmakers Join Suit Against Air Force Over Leaked Jet Fuel |

New
Mexico lawmakers have joined a lawsuit against the U.S. Air Force over the
handling of millions of gallons of leaked jet fuel from Kirtland Air Force
Base. State senators Mimi Stewart and Antoinette Lopez are among the lawmakers
filing suit against the Air Force. The lawsuit filed on Monday alleges the Air
Force is not doing enough to clean up the leaked jet fuel, which can pose
serious health risks like contaminated drinking water. The lawsuit seeks to
impose a deadline for the Air Force to clean up the leaked fuel.

to Pay $7.5M Over Fake Pharmacist |

Walgreens
will pay $7.5 million to settle with California authorities after an employee
was criminally charged with impersonating a pharmacist and illegally filling
more than 745,000 prescriptions in the San Francisco Bay Area. The
prescriptions allegedly included more than 100,000 for opioids such as
fentanyl, morphine and codeine.

Sunbeam
Products Facing Lawsuit Over Woman's Pressure Cooker Injuries |
|
A lawsuit
has been filed against Sunbeam Products, Inc. and Newell Brands, Inc. on
behalf of a woman injured by an exploding Crock Pot Electric Pressure Cooker.
The complaint was filed on January 31 in the Circuit Court in and for Palm
Beach County, Florida. The woman alleges she was using the pressure cooker
according to its instructions when it suddenly and without warning exploded
boiling hot contents on her, causing severe injuries. The lawsuit contends the
device's safety features failed to work properly.

Rutgers
University & Fraternity Sued by Mother of Student Killed by Train |
|
The
mother of a Rutgers University student who was killed by a train after a
fraternity party has filed suit. The university, its police department, and
the fraternity are named as defendants in the wrongful death lawsuit filed on
Dec. 6 in Middlesex County Superior Court. Among other allegations, the
lawsuit claims the university and police department "knew or should have known
about the unsanctioned fraternity event and service on intoxicating alcohol to
underage persons."
