The lawsuit was filed by the woman's daughter who alleges that her mother was healthy before she went into the rehab facility for her broken ankle. While the 80-year-old woman was in the facility, she suffered a stroke and remained in a nursing home until her death four years later. At the end of last month, a jury ruled that the woman's doctor had been negligent in her care and the family was awarded $1.17 million. Brian L. According to the lawsuit, the internal switching mechanism can become stuck in the "on" position and overheat, posing fire and burn hazards. The company has received 25 reports of the drill switch overheating, including six reports of burns to the hands and fingers, and five reports of minor property damage. Harbor Freight Tools sold the drills from May 2011 and September 2015 in their stores, catalog and online.
