Last May, 3-year-old Jacoby Latta was playing in a city park in Irmo, South Carolina when a tree branch fell and hit him in the head. The young boy suffered a traumatic brain injury and died within hours of the incident. The family is now suing the town of Irmo and contractors who helped build the park. The lawsuit claims that the city had received multiple complaints about dead trees and falling limbs, but did not remove them. The town has denied the allegations against them and called the accident an "Act of God."

The plaintiffs have submitted letters from doctors, but the school has countered that testing indicates their Wi-Fi signal is well below federal safety standards.

A class action lawsuit has been filed against 10 of the largest automakers in the world over keyless ignitions and the dangers of carbon monoxide poisoning. According to the lawsuit, filed early Wednesday morning in California, the automakers have long known about the increased risks of carbon monoxide poisoning due to the use of the keyless ignitions.
