Company officials said that if the transmission was quickly shifted between gears, the transmission could become damaged. The recall covers four-cylinder Accords, the CR-V crossover and the Honda Element. According to the suit, the man was told he would be removed from the work schedule until he shaved his beard, even though the company was aware it was part of his religious heritage. The lawsuit accuses the company of violating the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Jessie Van Berkel, Seattle Times 08/05/2011 | Read Article: Seattle Times | Man Files Suit Against Baltimore PD | | A Baltimore man will file a lawsuit against the Baltimore Police Department after officers detained him and confiscated his camera, deleting videos on it, during an incident at the 2010 Preakness. According to the suit, the man had taped officers "roughing up" a female friend of his, and police took the camera, saying it was "illegal to record anybody's voice or anything else in the state of Maryland." The lawsuit demands that Baltimore police stop "interfering with citizens' rights to record encounters with police."
