Terminix Offers $87M Settlement to Delaware Family Sickened by Pesticide |
Terminix has reached a tentative agreement to pay $87 million to a Wilmington family sickened by dangerous pesticides (Methyl bromide) at a vacation condominium in the U.S. Virgin Islands. Court Blocks Class Action Suit Against Payday Lender |
The Fourth Court of Appeals in San Antonio derailed a class action lawsuit aimed at keeping payday lenders from using the state's criminal justice system as de facto collection agencies. The suit filed by 1,400 plaintiffs argued that Cash Biz, a payday lender, illegally used district attorney offices to file criminal charges against debtors.
