Archbishop Knew of Priest's Danger Prior to Abuse of Teen Girl |
St. Louis Archbishop Robert Carlson has been accused in a lawsuit of knowing that a cleric was a danger to children prior to his abuse of a teenage girl. On Monday a judge in the case set a March 27 trial date for the lawsuit, filed by the family of the girl who was molested. According to the lawsuit, the Reverend's danger to children was known prior to an incident in which he molested the then-16-year-old girl at her home. Jim Carrey Named in Wrongful Death Lawsuit Over Girlfriend's Prescription Drug Death |
Actor Jim Carrey has been named in a wrongful-death lawsuit over the death of his girlfriend. The lawsuit was filed by Carey's late girlfriend's husband, who says that Carrey provided his wife with the prescription drugs she used to commit suicide. The lawsuit was filed in Los Angeles by the Oregon man who was married to Carrey's girlfriend at the time of her death. The lawsuit states, "Mr. Carrey proceeded to provide the prescription drugs to ... Cathriona White," despite knowing she was "prone to depression and had previously attempted to take her own life."
