Makers of EpiPen Accused of Price Gouging in Class Action Lawsuit |
The makers of the EpiPen have been hit with a class action lawsuit accusing the company of price gouging. Mylan recently increased the price of its EpiPens, which are used to curb severe allergic reactions, which can be life-threatening. Mylan acquired the product back in 2007, when EpiPens were priced at less than $100. After the price of the medication went up to $600 recently, the class action lawsuit was filed in an Ohio county court. It names Mylan Pharmaceuticals Inc. as defendant.
