Mazda North America is set to recall about 190,000 of its CX-7 SUVs over a defective suspension ball joint that can lead to total loss of steering control, according to a filing with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration on Thursday. Although there are no reported injuries from the defect, Mazda told NHTSA on Thursday that it will be recalling the CX-7 between model years 2007 and 2012 beginning in early October and repairs to the defective parts will be performed at no cost to drivers.
