A recent study has found that women who regularly use talcum powder on their genitals are one-third more likely to develop ovarian cancer. The study involved questioning over 4,000 women, half of whom had ovarian cancer. Johnson and Johnson, a maker of talcum powder, was ordered by a jury last week to pay $72 million to the family of one woman who died of ovarian cancer. They maintain that their product is safe for consumers.

Starbucks Recalls Breakfast Sandwiches for Listeria Contamination
spacer image
A recall has been issued on sandwiches served at Starbucks locations due to fears of listeria contamination. Progressive Gourmet of Wilmington, Mass., which makes the breakfast sandwiches, issued the recall on sandwiches sold at about 250 stores across Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas. The sandwiches involved in the recall are labeled "Best Before: 07-AUG-2016." Representatives for Starbucks say that the recall was issued "out of the abundance of caution" after the Listeria monocytogenes species of bacteria was discovered at its production facility during routine testing.
