A lawsuit has accused a nurse from a Saint Thomas Health-affiliated clinic in Tennessee of causing multiple people to become infected with fungal meningitis and other infections. According to the lawsuit, and others like it, the nurse negotiated for bargain priced drugs and then switched suppliers, allowing the bargain drugs to infect patients. Many of the lawsuits have been combined as the New England Compounding Center has filed for bankruptcy. The outbreak of meningitis took place in 2012 and since then about 3,770 people nationwide have filed claims.

PGA Caddies File Suit Over Promotional Clothing
spacer image
A class action lawsuit has been filed by a group of professional caddies who were made to wear promotional clothing during the PGA tour. The lawsuit alleges that the caddies were forced to wear bibs featuring corporate logos and other advertisements which brought in millions of dollars. According to the lawsuit, filed on Tuesday in U.S. federal court in California, the caddies did not receive any compensation for the $50 million the bibs brought in, and their jobs were threatened if they refused to wear them. The lawsuit seeks a permanent injunction against wearing the bibs.
