Pet Chews Recalled over Salmonella Risk |
| An Illinois company has issued a recall of their Pig Ears for Pet Treats pet chews due to the risk of salmonella. The products were recalled after a dog in Missouri became ill. The pet treats were distributed in Arkansas, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas and Virginia. GlaxoSmithKline Settles Denture Cream Lawsuits |
| GlaxoSmithKline Plc has paid $120 million to resolve more than 100 lawsuits in the past nine months over their denture cream, Poligrip. The lawsuits complained that the cream caused neurological disorders in users because of the high levels if zinc. Suit: Computer Rental Company Spying on People |
| A Wyoming couple has filed a lawsuit against a national rent-to-own computer company, saying the computer they rented was allowing the company to spy on them. In their class-action lawsuit, the couple claims Aaron's Inc. "took remote photographs of them, eavesdropped on their email and tracked their internet activities through a leased laptop equipped with hidden spying devices." Judge Awards $1.9 Million Over Fatal Bear Attack |
| A federal judge awarded $1.9 million in a lawsuit filed by a family of an 11-year-old boy who was killed by a black bear in Utah in 2007 while camping with his family. The lawsuit claimed the U.S. Forest Service should have warned the family that a potentially dangerous animal was on the loose near the camp grounds.
